A programme on The Da Vinci Code

For folks who have become ardent fans of Dan Brown post The Da Vinci Code, there is a programme to be aired on Sunday night (IST) on Disovery channel

DAVINCI CODE: CRACKED! (May 21, 9 pm)
This episode puts one of history’s greatest conspiracy theories to the test. The theory suggests that Jesus Christ had a child with Mary Magdalene and this child survived and gave rise to a Royal French dynasty. This alternative view of world history would destroy the Catholic Church, so these descendants have remained underground, protected by a secret society called the Priory of Sion – a society that also holds the proof of Christ's bloodline in the form of the Holy Grail. But are these explosive claims true, or are they the theories of charlatans and pranksters? This episode attempts to shed light on this murky subject. Historical and art historical analysis, biblical exegesis, symbology, genealogy and cryptography will be used to reveal the facts behind the fiction.
