Tax refunds to be credited through ECS
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) will send tax refunds directly to the taxpayers' bank account from June 2006, provided the bank account number is furnished by an assessee for this purpose, M. S. Darda, CBDT Chairman, said here on Friday.

Very nice idea. I like it.
But...knowing the tax evaders ...IMHO many won't want to give their bank acct. No.
@Narayan : I thought the skeleton for this is already in place. Just that it is not being put into practice.
