Blog Readers

Do you guys use Blog readers ?

If that sounded like Greek and Latin, Blog readers are light-weight tools that can be installed on one's PC. This tool allows you to subscribe to RSS feeds from various blogs (blogspot provides the RSS feed for every blogger), and 'alert's you whenever a new post is added to a subscribed blog.

If you guys are already using one, suggest some good readers.

I think you are not allowed to install fed readers on you rsystem. If you can, try SharpReader. Excellent. but you might need to install the MS .Net framework.

If you cannot install software use BlogLines. I think I created one for you when I came over to your place.

Jax, yes. I am currently using Bloglines. But that does not provide me the freedom of commenting.

@Narayan: The main purpose is that it is asynchronous. Whenever there is a new post in the blogs that you have subsribed to, you will get an alert. Think means that you do not have to keep checking various blogs for new posts.

I use RSS Reader(http://www.rssreader.com/), it requires MS .Net framework. I use it to read news, blogs, messages from yahoogroups and some other sites.

No it doesn't allow commenting, but i found something interesting FeedDemon and Awasu 2.0(its free). FeedDemon allows commenting to those sites which explicitly provide comment feed on their main page and it has lot more features. I didn't check Awasu but a friend said its equally good.
